Cinnamon Boutique Guest House
Overview
The Cinnamon Boutique Guest House is an upmarket small hotel situated in the central area of Wilderness. Originally constructed in 2000, it received a new owner in 2017.
There are 13 luxurious rooms, each catering for 2 adults (with the potential for cots or small beds to be added for young children).
Location
Cinnamon is located just 2 minutes walk from the many restaurants and amenities of central Wilderness, and around 5 minutes walk from the beach. It’s only very slightly uphill from the main area of town, so views from the guest house are mainly of the lush forest and garden that surround it. However some rooms do have a limited view of the ocean.
Accommodation Options
The 13 spacious rooms all have luxurious decor and furnishings. Therefore king size beds (which can be changed to twin beds on request) are in all rooms. Most rooms have a sitting area and private balcony, along with satellite TV. Additionally, air conditioning, a safe and free Wi-fi internet also come as standard.
All rooms have a kettle, coffee maker and small mini-bar fridge. The “luxury” rooms have a shower in the en-suite bathroom, whilst the “superior” rooms have a separate bath and shower.
One room is a family suite that contains 2 additional twin beds, which also accommodates disabled people well.
Room numbers at the Cinnamon Boutique Guest House are from 1-12 and 14, meaning nobody has to stay in “unlucky 13”!
Meals
An inclusive continental or English breakfast is served every morning in the spacious downstairs dining area, or just outside by the pool. Later in the day, high tea is available (at an additional cost) if booked in advance.
For other meals, there is a great selection of restaurants and cafes just a minute or two’s walk away from Cinnamon. In addition, a braai (BBQ) is available for use at the guest house.
Facilities
Just outside the dining area is the pool, with plenty of chairs and sun loungers. Lush trees and greenery surround the area, making it the perfect area to relax. A small gym looks out over the pool area.
Stepping back inside, there is an honesty bar and a number of luxurious sofas.
A shuttle bus with driver is available for airport pickups, or for use as transport to and from golf courses etc. You should book with the hotel in advance if you want to make use of the bus.
House Rules
Check in is from 2pm and check out is at 10am. Children are welcome, and cots or extra small beds can be added to rooms for small children on request. You are not allowed to bring pets.
Getting There
From the main N2 road, take the Wilderness turn (next to the Caltex service station). After just a few metres, take the first left onto Beacon Road. Follow the bends to the left, then right, around the Milkwood Village centre. After the bend to the right, the main parking area for Cinnamon Boutique Guest House is about 100m further on the right.
The front of the hotel (with a smaller parking area) is on Sanctuary Lane, accessed by a slightly different route.
