Wilderness Hotels

There are only a small number of hotels in Wilderness. Alternatively you could consider the much larger selection of Wilderness guest houses or self-catering accommodation.

Recommended Hotels

For those with a higher budget, there are two small hotels which we strongly recommend. The first is the luxurious and centrally located 13 bedroom Cinnamon Boutique Guest House. This could be considered a small hotel, despite the guest house portion of the name. Since re-opening after the global pandemic forced closure for a few months, it’s also offering incredible rates given the standard of the accommodation. Another luxury option, also highly recommended, is Views Boutique Hotel and Spa, which has 26 rooms. It’s a short drive from the main town and perched directly above the beach.

Other Wilderness Hotels

If you are looking for a larger and reasonably priced hotel in a central location for all restaurants and shops, then consider the well-established Wilderness Hotel.

Alternatively, there are two other options for larger hotels in Wilderness. One is the Fairy Knowe Hotel, which has a long history. It is situated on the banks of the Touws River about 10 minutes’ drive from central Wilderness. Recent reviews frequently praise the staff, cleanliness and the old world charm of this hotel. However it is also clear that this hotel could do with a lick of paint and some updating.

The other budget option is the Wilderness Beach Hotel, situated high on the cliffs above the beach with great views over the ocean. From here it’s a few minutes’ drive to central Wilderness, and a walk down quite a number of steps straight onto the beach. Unfortunately, we would strongly recommend you consult recent online reviews before committing to booking this hotel. This is because many of them are not very positive.
